International Youth Drone Competition 2018

The International Drone Association for Youth (iDAY) is a not for profit organization.  The Association targets the youth group to draw science and technology awareness, to prepare for readiness of engaging science and technology advancement, and to integrate science and technology into societal development, through educational activities in the emerging field of drones (unmanned aerial vehicles).  

The activities include annual International Youth Drone Competitions, training camps, summer camps, university tours, and immersive workshops, etc.  In the long run, the Association promotes Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) education to and inspire youth groups to embrace the knowledge, skills, aptitudes, and to make a positive influence on the communities and society in general.

 On May 20th 2018, the International Drones Associations for the Youth, known as iDAY, and the Centre for Aerial Robotics Research and Education (CARRE), University of Toronto successfully hosted its  2nd Annual Drone Qualification Competition  at the University of Toronto Institute for Aerospace Studies (UTIAS).  Congratulations Awardees!  Now for the next phase: the final Annual Drone Competition. It will take place this year in China, July 2018 and Toronto will take their 5 top Canadian winning teams to compete in the final International Competition.  Good luck!
